But, for the rest of the population it is a constant fight to understand what our decorating style is. Scouring through interior decorating style books, venturing into all design shops and home furnishings shops, and going through millions of styles and finally picking something up, just to come home and see that it doesn’t blend with your decorating  style is frustrating.
With more styles than cities in the world, and more products in each style, each fighting for a place at your home, there is bound to be confusion. To help you through this decorating dilemma, we have put together some sure shot methods that will help you understand your decorating style.
You need to identify the room you want to style first. Don’t take on decorating and styling all the rooms at once. Choose the most important room to style. If you have friends and family over all the time, style the living area first, if you are a gourmet chef or love cooking, style the kitchen first, and if your bedroom is your haven, style it first. The room that you spend most of the time in should be your priority in styling.
Once you have identified the room you want to style, identify your personal decorating style. Go through interior decoration books and interior decoration magazines and start tearing out pages of the styles you like. Gradually, your decorating style will be revealed.
